Our additional specialist teams…

Specialist Alcohol Service

The Specialist Alcohol Service and Engagement Team are based within Inclusion hubs across the county and provide intensive support in the community to people using alcohol problematically, helping to make positive changes, engage in treatment pathways and improve health outcomes. The team also engages within hospital settings across Hampshire for patients referred by the hospital alcohol nurse teams.

Family Recovery Team

The Family Recovery Team are based within children’s services across Hampshire – supporting parents whose substance use is deemed a risk to their children and working intensively in the community, helping to sustain positive change to reduce the risk to their children and prevent them from entering the care system, where it is safe to do so. This is achieved through 1-to-1 support and our group work programme, Family Footprints. In addition, we facilitate substance use learning sessions for staff of children’s services.

DWP Peer Mentor Programme

The Peer Mentor Programme Team are based within Inclusion hubs and Job Centres. They provide substance use support to anyone who feels their use is a barrier to stopping them from keeping or starting employment, training or education. The Peer Mentors have lived experience and will provide non-judgemental support over 8 sessions, and can also refer into structured treatment if required. The team currently cover Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Cosham and Portsmouth.

No Wrong Door

The Co-occurring Conditions Specialist Team (No Wrong Door), work across the county to bridge the gap for those needing support for both substance use and mental health. We understand many people experiencing mental health conditions use substances to cope with their emotions and this should not be a barrier to accessing mental health services. The team will advocate for you and work with primary and secondary care mental health services to put in place any support you may need.

Criminal Justice Intervention Team

The Criminal Justice Intervention Team work across the county with clients involved in the criminal justice system, by supporting them with continuity of care for prison leavers, delivery of drug rehabilitation orders, drug test of arrest assessments and prison in-reach. We work closely with probation, prisons and the police to help reduce drug-related harm and support people in making positive changes to their lives

Harm Reduction & Engagement Team (HEART)

Inclusion Recovery Hampshire’s Harm Engagement and Reduction Team (HEART) have developed pathways that meet the health needs of people who inject drugs, both in the existing service user cohort and those not yet engaged.

This has been achieved via a bespoke outreach service to address the health needs of people who inject drugs – many of whom face major barriers accessing support in traditional settings such as socio-economic challenges and social stigma.

The team operates via a mobile clinic van. Bringing the treatment to where people need it. Including geographical isolation, high deprivation, or reduced service provision from community pharmacies.
