Supporting adults with alcohol use
If you are concerned about your own or someone else’s alcohol use, we are here to help.
Whether you used alcohol socially and it got a little out of hand, or if your alcohol use has impacted on your own life and relationships with those around you, we can help you cut down or stop altogether.
How we support you
One of the great things about Inclusion Recovery Hampshire (IRH) is that we actively involve you in your own recovery planning. We believe you can make changes for the better, and we know the best way to support you with your alcohol use is by listening to what you want, together with our knowledge and experience of what works.
Alcohol treatment options
We have a variety of treatment options available to support with alcohol use. We offer online support, groups and workshops, counselling, 1:1 support, clinical treatment such as alcohol relapse prevention medication and detox, rehab placements and more.
Your Recovery Worker will work closely with you to set up a care plan to help you achieve your goals, and this will be reviewed regularly with you throughout your treatment.
Am I drinking too much?
If you are unsure whether you are drinking too much or want to stay within recommended limits to avoid ill health, read on. There are many health risks associated with drinking too much or too often. It can affect your body, your mind and your relationships. The good news is that as soon as you reduce your alcohol intake, you start to cut your risk.

If you are alcohol dependent…
If you have become dependent on alcohol, or you think you might be, it is important that you don’t stop drinking suddenly, as this could lead to very dangerous alcohol withdrawal complications.
