We recognise that substance and alcohol use affects not only the individual but also their family and the wider community. That’s why we take our work with families and carers seriously.
Parent Support Link (PSL) offers an integrated support service for anyone impacted by someone else’s drug or alcohol use. They work with parents, partners, friends, siblings – anyone affected by a loved one’s substance use.
It is common for people to feel embarrassed or ashamed of a loved one’s alcohol or drug use, which can make it difficult to talk to family or friends without fear of judgment.
For 24/7 confidential support, call 023 8039 9764.
At PSL, the team brings a range of experiences to help support you during difficult times. We understand the emotions that often accompany substance use, such as anxiety, isolation, shame, and depression.
PSL offer a variety of support options, including:
- One-to-one support by appointment
- Support groups
- Whole family sessions
- Couples support sessions
- Guidance on additional resources available
- Information on drugs and alcohol
- A confidential and non-judgmental listening service
- A safe space to express how you feel
- Opportunities to connect with others in similar situations
- Confidentiality and complementary therapies, with regular support group meetings in Hampshire
- Educational and Wellbeing classes

We are here to support you through challenging times. Everyone has the right to feel supported in the right way.
